Opening Session
This half day session (video recording above) started with a series of short presentations on the drowning problem in California, the water safety sector and its stakeholders, and the effort to establish a statewide coalition. Working groups shared initial thinking on gaps and areas for priority action and receive structured feedback.
Focus Sessions
Focus sessions were moderated, 45-minute sessions on the topic areas for each working group. These meetings were optional for those able to attend and interested in the topic area. The sessions focused on refining recommendations for priority action in each area.
Office Hours: Office hours were hosted open times with no specific agenda. These sessions provided an opportunity for workshop participants to connect with coalition leadership and each other to ask questions, network, and discuss items which might not be covered in other parts of the workshop.
Closing Session
This half-day closing session focused on setting goals for 2022, and look forward to the launch of the Coalition at the California Water Safety Summit in February, 2022.
